Overview

Lead in conjunction with actuarial colleagues the development and improvement of the analytics and reporting capabilities across all departments Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to ensure proper use of analytical solutions and engage in brainstorming sessions on the development of value-added products and solutions Investigate the utilisation and leverage of the wider data set (insurance and non-insurance aspects of operations) and the use of external datasets Explore analytic initiatives that could add value to the organisation by Working collaboratively with subject matter experts to understand business issues Exploring, analysing and interpreting relevant data sets Proposing analytical approaches that may improve understanding and/or decision making Communicating analytics results in terms that are meaningful to stakeholders Support the Data Strategy Qualifications required: Essential: BSc in a quantitative/applied field with good academic credentials in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Operational Research, Engineering or Economics Desirable: Postgraduate degree (MSc or PhD) Experience required: Proficient user of R (preferred) or Python Demonstrable analytical skills - likely to have been honed through relevant work experience in an analytical role Experience with multivariate statistical analysis (regression and segmentation)
