Overview

Our centrally located, growing, energetic and dynamic client is currently recruiting for their expanding legal team. This position is a fantastic opportunity to suit an entry level legal graduate, or experienced paralegal or insurance claims handler who holds a law degree. The role is responsible for facilitating the successful resolution throughout the claims lifecycle of client’s claims under our client’s internal guidelines. Applicant Minimum Requirements: graduate in law at 2:1 or higher Responsibilities of the role: Advising on claims issues providing context, input and clarification in relation to claims developments or action by the insurer Facilitating the efficient and successful resolution of claims - guiding both parties from working knowledge of similar issues. Facilitating the procedural aspects and mechanics of settlement Assessing and positively resolving coverage issues Providing additional lateral input as the situation demands. Retaining, or assisting our client in retaining, information relating to the claim Identify insurance and business issues arising and communicate these to the designated Account Handler Liaise with departmental leads regarding claims trends, and issues arising with internal and external stakeholders Review contractual documentation for clients to identify professional indemnity insurance issues arising, and communicate these to clients with appropriate sensitivity to commercial issues arising Provide additional commentary and guidance to client in relation to negotiations arising from initial review of contract with a view to positive amendment of the contract Negotiate with third parties and their solicitors on behalf of the client regarding professional indemnity insurance issues arising Analyse coverage and conditions of specific insurance policy wordings Create policy summary documents Compare policy coverage between two or more different policies, and report on headline differences Provide referral point to colleagues (renewals, new business etc) in relation to headline differences between policies Provide referral point to colleagues (renewals, new business, claims, admin etc) on Technical queries arising Participate in research projects
