We’re seeking a Stores Co-ordinator to join our client’s small yet growing electronics firm in Stowmarket. It is a part-time, permanent position working around 9:30am - 3pm Monday to Friday although hours may increase in line with workload. The Company Our client is a well-established business sourcing and supplying electronic components for a wide range of markets. They’re a friendly team and are ideally seeking somebody to join them for the long-term and become a much-valued member of their business. They are soon to open an e-commerce side to their business, selling components online. They require somebody to organise their stores area, take control of stock management and effectively deal with incoming and outgoing orders. The Job Although there is a four-person team at the office, and training will be given initially, the job does require somebody who is self-motivated and can be relied on to effectively manage their own workload. Duties will involve: Working with the team to come up with a plan for stock management, including re-organising the Stores area With the rest of the team, be trained on the new Sage system in order to effectively process orders and help manage stock Picking, packing and labelling orders. Arranging shipments and couriers for delivery Visual inspection of components, checking for quality and quantity Running the company’s eBay shop and managing its orders Annual stock takes Dealing with order enquiries and investigating any issues The Person This role requires somebody who is very organised and has a brilliant attention to detail An interest in, or some experience with electronic components would be very advantageous. You’ll need a good level of computer/IT confidence and skill for using Sage (training given) and running the eBay store. Other requirements are as follows: Reliable, responsible character with the ability to self-manage Likes the idea of getting to overhaul a busy stores area Lives within a reasonable distance of the site (ideally in/around Stowmarket) A good team-player and happy to work as a key part of a small, busy and growing business Good, clear, friendly and professional communication skills Experience of booking shipping/couriers is be desirable Able to drive for local drop-offs to post office etc. In Return Our client is offering a competitive rate of pay between £9.00 - £12.00 per hour depending on relevant skills and experience.
