Back End / Java Developer - £30K - £43K DOE - Multiple roles (Mid, Senior & Lead) - Gateshead Fantasitc benefits including; flexible working & 1-2 days work from home I'm currently recruiting for a number of Java Developers (Mid, Senior & Lead) to join a well-known software house. The successful Back end / Java Developer will join multi-disciplinary teams, following an Agile methodology. You will work on a range of high profile projects that will be utilised extensively across the UK. As a Back End Developer you will write unit tested, clean and maintainable code to conform to the design of the solutions. On each project one of the Back End Developers is usually classed as a Lead Developer and will oversee the technical implementation - so there will be plenty of chance for you take a step-up. You will also work alongside DevOps team to deploy the latest digital applications in to the cloud. This company are passionate about Agile, they are using Scrum as their process, and adopt the standard ceremonies and activities such as; backlog refinement, sprint planning, 3 Amigos, daily stands, sprint review and retrospectives. They do also use Jira to manage their stories & tasks, and Confluence to document our projects. Developing clean maintainable code is a big focus for this company, you will therefore work with the following: Test Driven Development. IDE's such as; Eclipse or IntelliJ. Git for source control and Gitlab for our Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipeline. Java and Spring Boot stack. SonarQube to enforce code test coverage and static analysis quality gates. Peer reviews of code before merging into the production pipeline. Docker to provide downstream dependencies in local development and for automated integration testing in the CI build. AWS: Terraform and Ansible, but they are also looking forward to a Docker and Kubernetes solution. Salary is up to £43K DOE.
