The Challenge Reporting to the Chief Actuary, the Senior Actuarial Manager leads the actuarial team providing support to the Chief Actuary in all areas, including; Timely completion of regulatory reporting such as Solvency II. Actively participate in Board-level discussions and make a positive contribution to the decision making process. Apply expert judgement in developing demographic and economic assumptions for the valuation of liabilities and assets. Identify current and emerging risks, assess the exposure to these risks. Understand the interaction between the different aspects of how the financial position of the business is managed, including the investment strategy, capital position, approach to reserving and accounting treatment. Lead actuarial model development so that it reflects the valuation methodology of the technical provisions for valuation and forecasting. Lead the pricing and profitability analysis for each product launch and price reviews of existing products. What are we looking for in you? You are a qualified actuary, ideally with exposure to the Life Assurance industry. Experience, or a good understanding of Valuations and Solvency II. This is a key role interacting at Board level, therefore a strong track record in influencing and in managing relationships is required. Proven people management skills.
