If this is you, we want you to apply to join us. You must be a fully qualified Detective (PIP 2-accredited) and experienced investigator. You'll combine solid investigative expertise with a strong community focus, and work closely with colleagues as part of a team. We are also accepting applications from Police Constables with the ambition to become a DC. The next intake for officers to transfer has been confirmed as 13 January 2020 and then we have further intakes confirmed in 2020. All officers must attend an initial two week induction course at our Police Training Centre in Sulhamstead near Reading, accommodation is available for those who live outside of travelling distance. The recruitment process will follow a set programme of application, paper sift, competency based interview, vetting (including biometrics),medical checks, reference checks and fitness test. Numerous interview dates are available and we can accommodate a range of dates for medical appointments and fitness tests. Amongst other eligibility criteria, applicants must live within twenty crow miles of one of our main police stations. Applicants are expected to show a degree of flexibility in terms of postings in order for us to meet our operational requirements in serving the public.
