Social Worker required for work within Children & Families in the Plymouth area in Devon. 37 hrs a week. Attractive pay up to £35 per hour. Long term contracts South coast location. Lovely city and beautiful countryside surrounds. Flexible home working due to recent pandemic, online induction & training. We are currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join a busy Children Team based in the Plymouth area. The suitable candidate will have experience of working with children and families and identifying potential child protection or dealing with ongoing child protection issues Commitment to improving outcomes for these individuals in the short, medium and long term is paramount. The work within the team is of a complex nature, either high end children in need, or child protection. Cases also progress to care proceedings where appropriate hence the need for knowledge around Court work and the statutory requirements for children who are looked after. Applicants need to be experienced in progressing child protection / CIN plans with specific measurable and timely interventions and be able to recognise when further intervention is required to protect the children within their case load and take the appropriate action to address this. This role will involve: -Completing initial assessments, core assessments, and implementation of care packages, reviewing assessments, report writing for children's services. -Handle extremely complex cases with the assistance of management team. -Priority is given to maintaining close positive links with outside agencies and service providers within the community. -It is essential that candidates have good communication and strong report writing skills.
