Overview
A small secondary school in Tameside is looking for a DT Technician to start on 24 th February in an ongoing role. School: · Small 11-16 high school. · Very well organised. · Staff are supportive. DT Department: · Sole DT Technician, reporting directly to the Head of DT. · DT Teachers are experienced DT specialists. Role of DT Technician · Hours are 08:30 to 16:00 with a 30-minute lunch. · Monday to Friday, term time only. · Starting 14 th April, continuing on an ongoing basis. Duties of the DT Technician: · Setting up equipment for lessons in a safe manner. · Auditing materials and ordering more where necessary. · Maintaining the organisation of the department. · Occasionally supporting the teacher during a practical lesson Ideal DT Technician: · Health and Safety certification. · Relevant hands-on technical experience. · Organised and able to maintain the current department until the permanent technician returns. · An enhanced DBS is an advantage, although we can help you apply for one.
