Overview
An expanding organization are recruiting for a Support Worker for their 15 bed care home and 7 bed supported Living service in Ross-On-Wye, Herefordshire. You will be working with Adults, who have mild learning disabilities, epilepsy, seizures and no challenging behaviour. Main Job Role: - Offer therapeutic / emotional support - Work together in a team to help them with morning and night routines - Support clients with everyday duties i.e. cooking, cleaning, laundry, shopping etc - Manage them through their Support Plans (maintain good health and diet) - Accompany them out & about in the community i.e bank appointments, health visits etc - Encourage them with future goals they would like to achieve - Assist them with any activities or day centres they attend to (swimming, gym, aqua aerobics, local pubs) - Some aspects or full personal care required but no manual handling / hoisting Qualifying candidates: - Have life, paid, personal or voluntary experience in care (any setting / sector) - You will need your own transport due to location (no buses) Contract / Terms: - Salary is £6,645 - £16,614 per annum £8.52 an hour - Full and part time contracts available (16 - 37.5 hours a week) - Monday to Fridays with alternative weekends - Flexible shift patterns between 7:30am - 8:30pm & 10:30pm - 7:30am - Sleep ins are not contracted but can have 1 - 2 sleeps a week paid at £55 per sleep - Bonus available for any outstanding workers Benefits (pro rota): - Full training online and face to face, full induction and care certificate where appropriate - Chance to complete a free NVQ / QCF qualification whilst you work - Up to 6.6 weeks paid holiday (28 days) and increases to a maximum of 38 days on anniversary of employment - Double pay on Bank Holidays - Access to a 24 hour Employee Assistance counselling programme - Pension scheme contributions (3% employer & 4% employee) - Life assurance equal to three times your salary - Eye care vouchers (dependent on position) If you have the right skills or experience for this role; then please call Jeet on 0117 9486300 or email your CV with the job reference number to: Jeet.Kaur BSSocialCare.co.uk - thank you and good luck with your job search Connect with me on: Instagram: J33TS Twitter: Jeet_JDKS LinkedIn: Jeet Kaur-Sathi This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89612294
