Female Support Worker (Ref: EMW3) (Exemption is claimed under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9) Swansea Permanent 26.5 hours per week . Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 7.30 am to 12.00 noon Tuesday and Thursday: 8.30am to 12.00 noon Either: Friday 6pm to 12.00 noon or Saturday 12.00 noon to 6pm £11.00 Per hour Closing date: Tuesday 3rd March 2020 Interview date: Wednesday 11th March 2020 At Case Management Cymru we provide highly professional, bespoke case management to adults and children with a range of life-changing conditions/injuries. We pride ourselves on delivering a specialist service that recognises the uniqueness of every client; all with very different aspirations and challenges. We are looking for a warm, patient and reliable individual to work alongside the family to support and facilitate the independence of a 4 -year-old girl who sustained a brain injury as a baby. The Support Worker will assist the client with her morning routine before taking to school and supporting her in the morning session in school. (Our client currently attends school in the Sketty area of Swansea). In addition will engage in leisure activities, enabling the client to use local amenities such as the leisure centre and support the client in order to enable the parents to have time away from their caring role. At times, it may be necessary to work additional hours depending on the activities that the client wishes to attend. The Support Worker will also work with independent therapists in enabling the client to participate in effective neuro rehabilitation. The successful candidate will encourage and support her to access all these opportunities and more. Ability to drive with use of a car is essential. Experience of working with children and /or challenging behaviour is essential. Full induction and training will be provided. This role is subject to an Enhanced level DBS check.
