Overview
Copello are recruiting for a Technical Authority to join a Defence business based in Hampshire. As Technical Authority you will be responsible for providing specialist technical advice around the design and safety management of Communication systems. Responsibilities will include managing safety assessments, support the commissioning and engineering validation, management of the equipment through life, raise change requests and advise stakeholders of change requirements. Suitable candidates will have an expert knowledge and proven experience of working with the design and implementation of Communication systems, experience as a Technical Authority, Systems Engineer or similar. You will require strong communication skills and be able to manage relationships with internal stakeholders across the business. Experience within Defence or Military would be beneficial but is not essential. Candidates will ideally have experience in some of the following; • Experience of working in a regulated environment • Air Traffic management communications systems; Air Ground & GG, including design installation, commissioning and support • Knowledge of ATM voice standards • VHF/UHF radios • Voice control systems The salary on offer for this role is £70k to £75k plus 10% bonus, private healthcare and contributory pension. Candidates must be able to obtain SC Clearance.
