Private Tutor - Learning Mentor • Private Tuition - Folkestone • Immediately Tempest Resourcing are currently working alongside a local borough who are looking for someone to support a 14-year-old with extra tuition. The role is a part-time opportunity. The role will entail the responsibilities of; 1-2-1 Math's and English support, mentoring, progress coaching, behaviour reports and positive encouragement. The pupil has SEMH and social communication difficulties meaning that the ideal candidate will be able to support them emotionally, socially and academically. Job Responsibilities • Supporting challenging behaviour, emotional difficulties and SEN • Ability to engage and support the pupil with their learning • Supervising & Monitoring pupils behaviour • Progress Coaching & 1-2-1 sessions • Liaising daily Job Requirements • Available 5 days a week • Ability to stay calm and de-escalate challenging behaviour • Ability to empathise with the needs of each individual pupil • Experience working with challenging behaviour is desirable • Valid DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one Tempest Resourcing is a committed Equal Opportunities Employer and therefore will not discriminate on the grounds of age, gender, race, ethnicity, disability or sexual orientation.
