Overview

We are looking to recruit a QA Inspector to ensure our customers quality standards are maintained. To ensure we carry out customer’s instructions as agreed. The person recruited must have a flexible approach to work since they will also be required to help support the production shifts in emergencies. He/she will therefore work as part of a small team ensure that production targets are achieved and must be willing to be trained on all aspects of the job from booking in, planning and inspection and release. Training shall be provided at other Bodycote locations so the successful candidate must be willing to travel and stay over when necessary. Main responsibilities: Book in components ensuring customers paperwork is in order. Inspect components - good attention to detail required Liaise with the Site Head of Quality over Quality/paperwork issues Carry out contract review on customers work. Raise job packs and route cards Raise release notes/delivery notes Organise logistics for out-going work. Inspect own work to identify trends & maintain quality standards Maintain a tidy/safe working environment Review of calibrations, surveys, consumables, for compliance Manage and participate in Furnace Temperature Surveys. and SAC checks. Internal & External Audit Participation - NADCAP & AS9100. Comply with all relevant SHE systems that are in place. Qualifications, experience and skills: Must be "hands on" and be able to work as part of a small multidisciplinary team to support 24/7 production Capable of using Microsoft suite of programmes i.e. Microsoft excel and Microsoft word. Good verbal and written communication.
