Overview
The Company Overview: Butler Rose have been appointed on an exclusive basis to support one of North Lancashire's fastest growing businesses in their search for a Senior Management Accountant/Finance Manager. This is a newly created position, due to organic and acquisitive growth and there are ambitious plans for continued expansion into new and interesting markets. This is an excellent springboard for an astute and career focused qualified accountant with an appetite to progress into a more senior role (Financial Controller level) within the short-term. Your new role: You will report to a highly experienced and engaging Financial Controller who will act as a mentor and facilitate fast-track advancement opportunities. You will lead a small team of junior finance staff and take ownership for the production of the month end management accounts pack and reporting requirements. You will prepare and submit HMRC returns; oversee supplier payment runs; perform and review balance sheet reconciliations; and manage cash flow. You will also produce year end statutory accounts and liaise with relevant external stakeholders. The Experience & Qualifications Required: To be considered for this opportunity, you will be newly ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified or finalist with strong technical ability. You will be comfortable working within a fast-paced finance environment dealing with complex and high volume information. Strong systems and data manipulation skills are essential including advanced Excel ability and whilst staff management experience is not mandatory, proven ability and willingness to guide and mentor junior finance staff is desired.
