Overview
To take responsibility for the day to day relationship management of the SMEs through the lifetime of the project and responsible for offering support to maintain the relationship between the SME and he Intern. To build and lead a market focussed, high performing, well trained team of Recruitment officers that will deliver an accurate, smooth, efficient service to SMEs and interns alike. Full ownership and improvement of all aspects of the project - including all aspects of the graduate recruitment, SME Engagement, stakeholder and referral partner relationships. Post holders will be expected to evidence their ability to work on an outreach /Peripatetic basis - and to build meaningful relationships. Applicants will be expected to demonstrate prior experience of working with organisations, delivering organisational needs analysis and developing work plans: and working and reviewing learner relationships. Linking with SMES on am macro level to highlight the business benefits of engaging with graduates - and highlighting the benefits of the internship programme. SME will be engaged with through direct contact along with representation at key events and forum- i.e. Federation of small businesses, Chambers of Commerce and forums such as Digital leadership Forum and Coast to Capital’s own Networks. Recruiting SME to take part in the programme from the activities such as event forums (As Above) Working with the SME to identify the potential that a graduate can bring to the business. This includes challenging the leadership with the SME to explore any skills needs which they may not be aware of, or initially see relevant. This can include, for example, digital marketing, exporting and e- commerce - along with gaining and understanding of the skills shortages of the SME in relation to its peers /competitor organisations. Development of the work plan in relation to the proposed internship Preparing the SME to host an intern placement; to include development key learning /development aims for the SME to be achieved through the internship. Facilitation of intern interviews/ assessment centre. Support for the SME to offer an induction to the graduate intern and wider on boarding to ensure effective engagement of the intern with SME and identified work plan. On - going support to sustain the relationship between the SME and intern, and to endure that the business objectives for the relationship are being maximised - including recurring 4 weekly review with the SME /Intern. These will be 3 - way reviews (following the principles of work based learning) - attended by the SME, Intern and a TTI relationship manager. Prepare the interns to sit the qualification. Support to prepare the intern for onward progrssi0on to sustained employment. To engage with the information and communication Officer (within the project team) throughout the project life- cycle to ensure that the SME has on going access to Information in respect of the best practice and knowledge transfer. The development of peer network across the SME network in the coast to Capital area and prepare for sustaining the relationship between intern / SME post the initial internship period. To review the SME needs and options post completion of the internship - with options including the permanent employment of the intern , Mainstreaming of activities undertaken by the intern or development of the experience through engagement with another intern. To be completed whilst the internment is still live. Evaluation of the process with the SME, post completion of the internship. Sharing of project results with the wider SME base to promote a graduate employment culture - including those forums and events such as i.e Federation of Small, Chambers of Commerce and forums such as Digital Leadership forum and Coast to capital 's Own Networks. Working with the communications and information officers to develop networking events between participating SME to encourage a sharing Knowledge Skills and experiences. Working with the comminication and information Officer to develop communication recourses/activities which promote a culture of SME engagement with Graduates, as part of the project legacy. To include- Entries into SME/Skills competition /Awards Media profiles Project newsletters - In hard and digital formats Linking with Coast to Capital /ESF/DWP communications teams to profile success and to build a project legacy Responsibility for managing the project against a suite of performance indicators, as well as ensuring full compliance with ESF regulation /contractual Compliances. Responsibility for the performance of the project team- through objective setting, use of KPIs, weekly team meetings, monthly performance reviews.
