Reporting to Procurement & Supplier Manager Job Description Responsible for the day to day supervision and operation of the stores area ensuring all works orders are completed to provide kits for production and assembly areas. Responsible for Stores Assistants Essential Job Responsibilities The Stores Team Leader performs the major functions listed below. The position may require additional duties/responsibilities that may not be outlined below, and specific functions are subject to change. 1.Make health and safety a priority ensuring you comply with all health and safety instructions 2.Comply with the policies and procedures of the Company 3.Work in a safe and orderly manner 4.Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment at all times 5.Adhere to the Company's procedures and legal duties with regard to environmental policies, specifically the recycling of packaging and waste product 6.Ensure all the property and equipment you use is maintained and not recklessly damaged 7.When necessary assist in other areas, within your capabilities and training 8.Organise and develop the team and provide feedback to the Procurement & Supplier Manager on individual performances when requested to do so 9.There must be an ability to respond to production demands ensuring the supply of raw materials to the production facilities is both accurate and on time and this will include extended working days when necessary 10.Use a computer including spreadsheets MS Dynamics NAV and email systems 11.To conduct and oversee all agreed stock checks and counts 12.Creation of documents, work instructions, process flows and management reports when required 13.A flexible approach and an ability to multi-task within the team is necessary 14.Ensure the differing types of raw materials handled is done so in a safe manner considering their hazards and risks to others and the environment 15.Have a courteous manner to all visitors including collection and delivery personnel 16.Communicate with the Procurement & Supplier Manager frequently during your shift to ensure the requirements of the production plan are met 17.Work as part of a team 18.To ensure that quality checks are carried out on products at time of receipt from the supplier and during the storage period and report any instances of noncompliance to the Procurement and Supplier Manager 19.To complete all paperwork relating to goods in and out of stores 20.To ensure that products within stores are properly preserved to avoid damage 21.Actively work with Stores team on a daily basis undertaking the following: - a.Loading and unloading lorries using the forklift b.Overseeing all kitting activities, prioritising daily. c.Chase shortages of components by liaising with the Procurement Team. d.Maintenance of stock records e.Co-ordination of the dispatch of spares daily. f.Check stock accuracy and report on any variations. g.Book in spares using the appropriate system. h.Co-ordinate on rejects - communicating with other members of the supervisory team. i.Change note production when required. j.Undertaking the crating process of finished goods ready for dispatch. Working Conditions 1.Working in production, stores and office environment. 2.Ability to stand for long periods. 3.Manual handling on a regular basis.
