Overview

A leading manufacturing business in Kings Lynn are looking to hire an experienced Production Manager to support and manage the entirety of the sites production teams. This role has a wide remit which will see you involved in everything from ensuring a safe working environment, making sure customer order requirements are met, maintaining inventory accuracy and also embracing a LEAN Manufacturing approach to product stream performance. As part of your role, you'll: Maintain resource levels to deliver business objectives & customer service expectations Drive a work place culture that prioritises health & safety, continuous improvement and efficiency across the teams Work collaboratively with the wider business - from Supply Chain & Engineering, to Quality and New Product Development Deliver productivity, cost efficiency and operational performance targets, in line with agreed plans and budget Provide key input on risk identification and mitigation strategies Create and be accountable for the Production Plan Schedule Deliver on production metrics, driving cost reduction, increase efficiency initiatives and ensure BOM's are accurate Monitor and control annual budget Provide clear management and direction to production teams, driving performance and promoting a culture of continuous improvement In order to be successful, you will need the following skills and experience: Line management background from within a fast paced manufacturing environment LEAN Manufacturing experience Degree/Qualification in Engineering Knowledge of H&S regulations Continuous Improvement skills Ability to think quickly and solve complex operational issues effectively Additional skills and experience in the following will be highly desirable: Background working in/with injection moulding (desirable) SAP Superuser (desirable) Management qualification Green Belt - Six Sigma In return you'll receive a competitive salary and benefits package, that includes 28 days holiday ( 8 Bank Holidays, company pension and private health care.
