Overview
At Heritage Healthcare (Gloucester) our Care Assistants have one thing in common, they are all very happy The reason why they are happy is because we value and respect ALL of our staff and everyone that joins becomes part of a close-knit team with strong family values. We are a small family run care provider which means we have time to invest in our staff and make sure you are provided with the best working environment possible to do the most important thing – put a smile on the faces of the people who make up your community. We treat our customers like family; we laugh, we share, we engage and we provide that extra bit of support, just like you would with any family member. We make sure our Care Assistants have well planned rotas in advance, regular customers and most importantly our visits average about 45 minutes – we give you time to care and we do not rush you. One of the most important things for us is listening to our Care Assistants and responding. We are a young company but where we are different to other care providers is that we want input from our staff on how we can improve to make sure we are always a leading employer. As a result of recent feedback we will be looking to start regular competitions for our staff with a chance to win prizes on a monthly basis – we are an employer that listens Here is how we support/reward our Care Assistants: Fuel Cards £8.80 – 9.08 weekdays £9.40 – 9.68 weekends £13.20 – 13.64 - £25 bank holidays 12p per hour pay rise every year Paid mileage Paid Training 'Carer Surival Kit’ (Branded bag, PPE, circuit breaker, bath thermometer, mini first aid kit, fob watch and key ring torch) Flowers on your birthday lovely Xmas presents Xmas party and Staff Meals out We always remember to say thank you and we always pass on positive client feedback – it is your support that makes a difference to people’s lives. If you are new to care then don’t worry. We have a well-designed training and support programme in place to make sure you are confident in what you do, with lots of support both over the phone and out in the community. We support our customers by providing a bit of extra help to allow them to remain living in the comfort and safety of their own home. This includes companionship, food preparation, help with medication, trips out, support with personal care, assistance with domestic tasks, helping people start their day and being a friendly face to have a cup of tea with and share stories – just like you would with your own family. We have an open-door policy for our Care Assistants and an incredibly well led and supportive management and training team who are always available to help you and listen to your ideas and feedback.
