Overview
Specialist subsidence and ground engineering contractor requires Area Manager for the Midlands region. The role will comprise 50% technical responsibilities and 50% sales. You will be required to undertake 7-8 visits a week to residential properties with structural problems, to identify, initiate and oversee solutions. The role will require you to operate from a home base throughout the Midlands and you should ideally live anywhere in the Birmingham/Leicester area. The position is ideally suited to a surveyor with experience of working in the subsidence claims arena, either in respect of diagnostics or repair work. You should be a confident and outgoing person who enjoys business relationships and is comfortable in a sales environment. The role is also ideally suited to someone who is ambitious financially and driven by the need to earn. You will always work on qualified leads so there is no need for any cold sell activity. Some form of construction related qualification to HND, BSc or possibly even professional qualifications, through CIOB or RICS would be preferred, but are not essential. The basic salary is up to £52,000 plus bonus up to 30% of salary on achieving target, company car, pension, medical care and 25 days holiday.
