Overview
Data Warehouse Developer - SQL, SSIS, SSAS Hiscox are hiring for a capable SQL Developer to join our existing team. You will have had prior exposure to Microsoft BI tools (SQL / SSRS / SSIS / SSAS). Your role as Data Warehouse Developer will be delivering integration projects for the business, working across the designing of data processing, reporting and business intelligence solutions integrated with their core Hiscox business system. These systems will ensure that our technology offering to the business is at the forefront of information and solutions provision and gives us the competitive edge over our competitors Your core responsibility will be to design and deliver components of the Hiscox data warehouse. The development work will include the build and on-going improvement of core data warehouse systems critical to the business strategy and growth as well as managing change to subsidiary feeds and systems. Technically we will expect you to have: BI Development background with exposure to Data Warehousing at scale Exposure to enterprise grade SQL Server 2016 or SQL 2019 including harnessing cloud technology Experience developing ETL solutions in SQL Server including SSIS & T-SQL Exposure to DW development practices (code & configuration management, build processes…) Appreciation of design patterns and practices that apply to the data warehouse space (e.g. Data Modelling) Ability to take the lead on technical workstreams, leading the estimate and design of end-to-end solutions alongside others as appropriate An expert problem-solver who can drive forward initiatives under their own steam Our nice to haves: Hands-on experience implementing DevOps principles in a DW environment Insurance industry experience Exposure to BI reporting toolsets - ideally Tableau Understanding of Agile principles Exposure to cloud-based data warehouse solutions - ideally Azure Demonstrable experience in mentoring or supporting the development of junior team members You can follow Hiscox on LinkedIn, Glassdoor and Instagram (HiscoxInsurance) LI-SW1 This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89939156
