The Client: · I have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Linux Infrastructure Engineer to join a well-established IT Company with ambitious growth plans over the next month. · With an established client base supported by a Development and Support Team they focus on providing their clients with a full portfolio of services, delivered to a very high standard. This position requires a person well skilled in Linux but with ambition to move into Cloud Technology and DevOps in the future so, any experience with Azure or AWS is desirable. Due to growth plans this role could well lead to managing a small team as the workload increases. What’s needed for me to be considered? ? Commercial Linux infrastructure Experience and the below skills are essential: ? Worked with Linux in a corporate environment ? Considerable experience with Linux distributions ? Installing, configuring and maintaining services such as Apache, MySQL, nginx ? BASH scripting (and/or alternatives) ? Recovering from faults & reading/analysing logs to find failures ? Configuring automated patching & CRONTAB tasks ? Ansible or other automation platform ? Exposure to Cloud Hosting Experience such as Azure and AWS What next?
