Overview

AWS Cloud Solution Architect The role of the Cloud Solutions Architect will have deep understanding and knowledge with a broad range of skills in cloud computing technologies. You will be responsible for the end-to-end cloud deployment experience and act as the key subject matter expert. This is a customer facing position, so the ability to converse at all levels is essential. Responsibilities · Architect complex cloud migration solutions · To conduct presentations to customer executives covering deep technical architecture and application design and the ability to translate technology at all levels to ensure key messages are delivered and understood · Define the “go to market” strategy in collaboration with the Cloud Sales specialist · Generate and grow opportunities in close cooperation with the sales team · You will be responsible for AWS, technical customer engagement including: · Architectural design sessions · Specific implementation projects and/or proof of concepts · Accelerate consumption in your customer portfolio, by providing deep technical expertise and knowledge · Ensure your expertise product knowledge is up to date and maintained focusing on key market trends Knowledge, Skills & Experience · Ability to manage complex cloud migration solutions · Account Manager/Product Sales Specialists, with a focus on the customer and the commercial aspects · Cloud Architect connecting sales to the technical deliverables. Presales, creating proposals and plans · Cloud professionals and developers · Strong presentation skills are required and the ability to present to a wide range of audiences is essential– in order to translate technology to customers · Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast paced environment · Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing technologies, future trends and customer business drivers · Proven track record of building exceptional customer relationships and rapport at all levels within an organization · Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills · Excellent verbal and written communication · Technical experience in one or more of the following areas: · Microsoft Azure · Amazon Web Services – AWS · Google Cloud Platform – GCP · IBM including SoftLayer · VMWare vCloud Air Education Qualifications Preferred Professional Qualifications: Whilst preference will be given to candidates who can show relevant experience and a successful track record formal training in any of the following will be a distinct advantage. · A recognised sales technique (e.g. SPIN) · AWS Solutions Architect Professional or AWS DevOps Engineer Professional · Associate level will be considered depending on other experience and qualifications Mobility Requirements The role is home based but will require frequent travel nationally to attend client meetings and attendance at the head office near High Wycombe as required. Occasional overnight stays may also be required. A current driving licence with no more than three penalty points is therefore mandatory.
