Ruby Back End Developer - London Salary up to £50,000 plus benefits. Full-time, Permanent Key Experience in Ruby on Rails, Javascript, JQuery, CSS, HTML, JSON. In this full-time mid to senior Ruby Back End Developer position , you will take on a range of responsibilities, and will be involved in all stages of the software lifecycle: from design through development, testing and deployment to maintenance. Skills and experience: Essential: Excellent understanding of Ruby on Rails (at least 2 years' experience) JSON, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills, including JQuery RESTful web service development Understanding and experience of the software development lifecycle and code versioning systems such as GIT, including branching and merging flows; Demonstrable activity on GitHub profile Excellent English language communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability communicate effectively with a technical and non-technical audience Preferred: AWS (S3 / EC2) Docker / Kubernetes Fedora ( https://duraspace.org/fedora ) Solr Redis Previous involvement in open source projects and open source communities Things they like: Google Compute Engine / GKE Build automation “Frequent” integration Agile / Kanban Easygoing, understanding, supporting team, willing to help and mentor flexible working hours (plus some occasional WFH) contribution to open source projects Other Info: Experience of the technologies prescribed above. Minimum 2 years' work experience.
