Overview

Maths Teacher TimePlan Education are working with an Academy Trust based in Hillingdon. The trust are recruiting for a Maths Teacher. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing academy trust that has a real focus on promoting and achieving excellence for their students. You will teach maths across KS3-5 with the delivery of GCSE's and BTEC qualifications. Alongside your teaching requirements you will also work closely with the Director of Maths to ensure that the maths department is running smoothly. The role will involve you actively supporting the performance and development of other teachers in the department through skilful mentoring and coaching. You will report directly into the Director of Teaching and Learning for Maths but will also have your own aspects of leadership and management to look after. As an outstanding practitioner, you will provide the professional and pedagogical guidance needed to promote and maintain the core values of the school and the performance of the department. The trust is made up of 7 schools including 4 colleges and 3 primary settings. The trust's schools are closely linked and very much work together to support the needs of their pupils and parents. Standards of behaviour and attendance are consistent across the schools and outstanding teaching is encouraged through creative, innovative approaches to teaching and learning. This opportunity is a permanent teaching post which require Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK. The role is very similar to a 2nd in charge, so that reason, the school is not looking to hire NQTs for the post. If you are an experienced Maths teacher who is looking to progress, we will be looking for prolonged experience (a minimum of 1 academic year) in all your recent schools.
