Overview
Due to company expansion and team restructure our client is seeking a Hazardous Waste Transfer Stations Chemist for their Darlington facility where you will play a key role in the safe supervision of incoming and outgoing waste whilst also providing technical support for the rest of the business. You will be required to oversee the receipt and dispatch of wastes showing high levels of due diligence as well as supervising of fellow staff members advising on all aspects of operations of the transfer station. Working alongside the SHE Manager and Operations Director you will assist in ensuring the site remains fully compliant with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures with management of waste in accordance with site permits. The ideal candidate will express a flexible approach to work contributing to all aspects of the organisation ensuring company and customer expectations and goals are met. This role requires a HNC chemistry qualification as a minimum with an overall technical competency. Key competencies for this position are: You must have an HNC in Chemistry (or equivalent) for this role and ideally hazardous waste management experience. Continued support and ongoing training is part of working at our Company.
