Technical Release Manager Release Engineer Job description: Candidate will be working in the Global Release Management team The release management team Poland based) is responsible for all virtual desktop platforms. Windows desktop Image, remote access, Thin Client refresh and user Profile Management. This role will focus on the technical support during the pilot phase of release testing. The successful candidate will provide the technical analysis of these issues, triaging and escalation to the correct engineering teams. The primary focus will be on the desktop transformation project, however as part of the wider team there will be opportunities to engage in other releases. Candidate will be required to work closely with the Platform Engineering teams, product and application owners as well we pilot users. Key Skills & Responsibilities: Provide technical support to during QA & Test periods. Investigate issues raised by pilot users and QA teams. Single point of contact between release management, escalation routes and lines of business for support issues raised. Ownership of issues raised, driving resolution. Provide reporting and tracking of open issues to be shared with the program, support teams and release management. Essential Experience: Must have advanced knowledge of Windows platforms including windows 10, server 2016. Experience with RDS published desktops. Strong knowledge of virtual desktop stateless environments. Expertise in at least one major virtual workspace technology (e.g. Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, Citrix Intelligent Workspace, iVanti, Azure, Windows Virtual Desktops). Accurately manage issues raised, ownership and drive to resolution. Experience in virtually delivered applications through APPV, Numercent, App Volumes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to delivery regular updates, both for technical and non-technical audience. Good collaboration skills, the ability to work with multiple teams across different business roles. A good working knowledge of troubleshooting tools such as Sysinternals. Additional Skills and Experience: Experience in the financial industry and working towards difficult deadlines. Ability to drive issues in a pressurised environment.
