Overview

Create market leading user interfaces using modern technology (React/Vue/Angular etc). Play a major part in the company’s front-end development. Work with tech that helps local and international students. An international start-up with offices in Cirencester is looking for a front-end developer who is ready to join a growing team in an ambitious company with big plans. You will be working with a tech founder who has already built a company known as “one of the best places to work in the UK” aiming to take this one on the same journey. It’s not essential that you have a vast history of commercial experience, but you must be able to demonstrate projects and examples of work/code, have a passion for good UI and be driven. What skills you’ll be needing HTML, CSS Sass. JavaScript ES6 Any framework experience would be beneficial (React, Angular, Vue etc.) Desirables: Understanding of Node.js. JSON-LD Schema. HTML Microdata. SVG. Gitflow Workflow. Sketch design toolkit (extracting UI assets). Ability to pick up new languages and teach others. What you’ll be doing As the go to front-end developer in the company you will be working with the Lead developer and team to help drive innovative solutions for complex technical challenges. You will play an important role by building and improving their products pattern library and static user interface templates with an emphasis on performance, accessibility, progressive enhancement and cross-device web browser support. You will make sure deadlines are hit and ensure that the code base is well structured, modular and efficient. The UI will be seamless and you will be dedicated to its construction/maintenance. It’s up to you to challenge bad ideas, they want your input so feel free to suggest emerging and exciting technologies you think are good. As the company grows you will need to mentor and pass on your knowledge to others who will support you along the journey.
