Overview

Team Leader - Accounts Payable We are seeking an Accounts Payable Team Leader to supervise and manage the overall function of a small Accounts Payable team, ensuring the efficient and compliant processing of all payments and related general ledger entries, whilst overseeing the cash and banking accounting activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing the Accounts Payable process including cut off deadlines, supplier terms, authorisation limits, and payment runs. Acting as the Accounts Payable contact, effectively handling customer, client, supplier and internal business enquiries. Managing the weekly payments and general ledger reconciliations. Producing the weekly & monthly Accounts Payable reports. Responsible for maintaining documentation to audit standard. Act as Accounts Payable contact, both internally and externally, investigating and resolving all purchase order, invoice and payment queries. Supervisory duties in respect of direct reports to include performance appraisals, monitoring staff attendance etc. Preparation of complete & accurate monthly balance sheet cash account reconciliations. We are looking for: Demonstrable experience of working in a supervisory & hands on role A proven track record working on accounts payable processes Computer literate with a good to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel Oracle Financials software is desirable. Must be pro-active, self-motivated, and able to work on own initiative with minimum supervision. Strong time management and organisational skills Able to communicate at all levels throughout the business. An eye for detail is essential within the role.
