Engineering Supervisor A full time position has arisen for a Supervisor to manage a small team on a modern site in The City, just a short Walk from Bank station. The purpose of the role is to operate within the department supporting the Management team in maintaining and developing the Sector's building services capability and co-coordinating the daily operations of associated works. Salary 40k-45k Hours of work Monday to Friday, Call out rota 1 in 6 Duties and Responsibilities . • First point of contact for the engineers and first point of contact for the managers. • First point of contact for helpdesk and allocations desk to resolve or assist with any resource/technical issues. • Ensure that the Contractual efficiently meets all the relevant KPI & SLA requirements. • Carrying out site supervisory visits to ensure quality and completion of work is at the required standard. • To provide monthly toolbox talks and awareness of any Health and Safety issues, to ensure the workforce is fully updated and safe. • Assist in planning the OOH on call rota. • Auditing sub-con works. • Taking ownership of the client’s needs and purse good communications with the customer in order to build a stable relationship. • Controlling and maintaining cover during holiday periods. • Call out rota. • Be responsible for the contract based engineers • Produce quotes as required for Managers across the business. Key Skills and Qualifications • A minimum of City & Guilds qualifications within Building Services or equivalent • A good knowledge of all building services • Sound level of administration and organisational skills • Proven practical experience within the building industry • Ability to develop a good understanding of the customers’ business requirements • Proactive approach to all tasks undertaken • High standard of workmanship • Conscientious • Team player and reliable • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Commitment to providing a high quality service and willing to work flexibly • Work overtime when required • Have a sound knowledge of our client base and specific contractual agreement with them • To reduce the aged open work orders • Respond to emails in a timely manner Desirable skills and qualifications • Gas Safe, 18th Edition IEE, HNC – Mechanical /Electrical. • 2 years’ experience within similar supervisory role • Sound knowledge of computer software • Time served apprenticeship This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89630129
