AIM are proud to be working on an exclusive basis with a well known and prominent food manufacturer based in the South East who due to recent growth and continued financial investment are looking for a Technical Services Coordinator to join their Technical team on a permanent basis, this role reports directly to the Head of Technical. This is a very fast paced and complex business that will offer you continuous variety and new challenges whilst allowing you the autonomy to work under your own initiative. Our client is looking for someone to help drive their technical function forward whilst always aiming for continuous improvement and excellence. You should have experience in a similar role and if you have already worked at a site supplying multiple major retailers would be a strong advantage. Some of the key focuses for this role include: Technical projects drive and support Maintenance of product databank (including BOM’s, datasheets, specifications, recipe sheets, QAS’s) Completion of technical information requested by customers to ensure legal compliance on internal and external systems, challenging and maintaining the technical information on product databank. Working closely with internal departments including Development, Purchasing, Planning, Quality and the Supply / Customer Base. Participating to the review and maintenance of specifications and maintaining documentation and records, ensuring information is accurate and complete and following document control procedures. Collecting required or missing information by liaising with Suppliers and ensuring raw materials comply with any specific customer requirements. Assisting in third party visits and audits, participating in the company internal audit programme and providing support within the Technical and Quality Department. Drafting internal processes and presenting them for approval to the line manager Following-up the correct implementation of new processes Technical KPI’s reporting and monitoring Training other team members or starters Co-operate in any other tasks in the business at the request of line manager, or other senior managers which are appropriate to the role and level of knowledge, ability and experience. Internal auditor COLOS, Axicon and Master Product Data superuser, Key skills for the role: Experience within the food industry working with and completing product specifications (raw materials, branded and retail finished products) In-depth knowledge working on web-based specifications systems with previous knowledge of food legislation, labelling and experience in recipe management, nutrition calculations, allergen and ingredient declarations. A conscientious and diligent attitude, strong attention to detail A strong knowledge and understanding of technical systems including HACCP, supplier management, BRC and retailer standards/audits and codes of practice A degree or equivalent in a Food Science or related discipline or 3 years’ experience in a technical role Advanced competency in Microsoft Word/Excel and IT systems is essential Preferably internal auditing experience and training An evident passion for the food industry This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career in food manufacturing with a business that has the capacity to offer genuine career progression and a culture that promotes development of their staff.
