QA Test Engineer London to £90k QA Test Engineer / Technical Tester (Python Linux PostgreSQL SQL). Are you an accomplished QA Test Engineer looking for an opportunity to own exciting testing projects and make an impact in an international organisation? Leading global investment management firm is seeking a positive, detail-oriented QA Test Engineer to support their daily operation. The organisation is powered by cutting edge data and technology and specialises in developing automated trading systems that execute across global financial markets, achieving high quality return for their prestigious client base. As a QA Test Engineer you play a critical role in regression, system and user acceptance testing (manual and automation), taking ownership of the quality of front to back applications, optimising efficiency through automation in a professional, collaborative environment. You’ll be the sole QA Test Engineer in the London office, so will take the lead on planning, coordination and conducting manual tests for software application releases in the Linux environment. You’ll own existing automation frameworks and will play a key role in contributing to their evolution and promote automation across applications. In conjunction with your technical responsibilities, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with talented teams across the business as well as key stakeholders to gather requirements and construct a detailed understanding of the products from a user-centric point of view. This QA Test Engineer role is dynamic and hands-on; you’ll gain invaluable experience in a hugely successful environment and will have the opportunity to develop your skills whilst making an impact. Requirements: You have strong experience in testing front office connectivity / trading strategies in a Linux environment You have experience with Python on Linux and databases (they use PostgreSQL, SQL) and developing automation scripts for applications You’re degree educated (2.1 or above, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering preferred) or have demonstrable equivalent experience You’re genuinely passionate about automation and keen to keep pace with new technologies You work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and are confident collaborating with a variety of teams / stakeholders Desirable: experience with risk management / equities As a QA Test Engineer you’ll earn a highly competitive salary (to £90k) plus bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
