Support Worker Nights - Supported Living Service Care Through The Millennium are a well-established employee owned, care provider who offer support to vulnerable adults. Due to our continued expansion, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Support Worker who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to supporting a vulnerable adult with learning disabilities and other complex needs at our supported living service in Hollywood, South Birmingham. The role: Working nights an average of 42 hours per week on a flexible shift system the successful Support Worker will support the learning and mental health needs of the service user enabling them to maintain their tenancy and to lead a meaningful and worthwhile life within the community giving practical help, care, guidance and support as detailed within the service user’s individual care plans and risk assessments. Experience/Qualifications : You will have previous experience working within a residential care or supported living setting with vulnerable people and preferably hold NVQ Level 2 in care or equivalent. The position may include lone working and therefore the ability to remain calm in an emergency is essential. In addition, t he successful applicant will need to be self-motivated, self-disciplined and thrive on being able to work independently to high standards.
