Support Worker - Supported Living Service Care Through The Millennium are a well-established employee owned, care provider who offer support to vulnerable adults. Due to our continued expansion, we currently have exciting opportunities for Support Workers who can demonstrate compassion and empathy in their approach to supporting vulnerable adults with learning disabilities and or mental health illness and other complex needs at our brand new supported living service in South Birmingham. The role: Working 42 hours per week on a flexible shift pattern, the successful Support Worker will support the learning and mental health needs of the service users enabling them to maintain their tenancies and to lead a meaningful and worthwhile life within the community giving practical help, care, guidance and support as detailed within their individual care plans and risk assessments. Experience/Qualifications : Ideally you will have previous experience working within a residential care or supported living setting with vulnerable people and hold NVQ Level 2 in care or an equivalent qualification. However, applications from candidates with no experience who can demonstrate the caring qualities and values that we seek in our staff are welcome. The position will may include lone working at times and therefore the ability to remain calm in an emergency is essential. In addition, t he successful applicants will need to be self-motivated, self-disciplined and thrive on being able to work independently to high standards.
