Yarningdale are looking to recruit a number of passionate new support workers. Support Worker Yarningdale, Ripley - DE5 9SG Hours: 24, 36, 42, 48 Shifts: 12-hour shifts, with the flexibility needed for days and nights, starting at 7am or 7pm Hourly Rate: £8.21 - £8.56 per hour (dependent on experience) Health and Social care workers are now classed as "key workers" so this role will allow your children a place in school or nursery to help with your childcare whilst at work. About the Home Yarningdale has two units called Wren and Robin, each with ten bedrooms, a lounge and a dining room. Every bedroom has a an accessible ensuite wet room, TV points in all rooms and all rooms can be decorated to suit personal tastes. There is a choice of comfortable lounges and quiet areas. Working with funders and individuals in care settings, we have developed a range of OneCare services – specially adapted individual houses and flats for people who do not require the wraparound care of a home, but still need support. OneCare services are located either on site, or very close to our care homes – sometimes down the garden path. OneCare services allow any type of care or nursing to be extended from the main home, whilst allowing individuals to live independently or with support, depending on their unique needs. OneCare services offer three distinct integrated care solutions: OneCare: Independence An extended pathway of care for individuals to maximise their independence and reach their full potential. OneCare: Intermediate A pathway of care which offers support to maintain independence or provides a rehabilitation pathway. OneCare: Individual A sole-occupancy environment personalised to suit the unique needs of individual service users. Key duties: Provide a high level of personal, physical and emotional care Provide personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and on occasion, assisting with meal times Promote independence, dignity, respect and choice across service users Support social and recreational activities; both in and out the home individually, or as part of a group Maintain care records; recording observations, activities and assessments On occasion, welcome and train new members of your care team Previous care experience within a repeatable health care provider and NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care are beneficial but not essential. About you: Our support workers will provide warmth, enthusiasm and compassion when providing care to our service users. You will always strive to provide great quality holistic care, making every day better than the last by working pro-activity to meet the needs of our service users. You will also be a team player, demonstrating outstanding communication skills and will be able to demonstrate effective team work. You will lead, demonstrating outstanding professional practice whilst coaching other in your team. You will promote the core values of care, maintaining independence and dignity while assisting with personal care, ensuring the physical and emotional needs of our service users are met.
