Overview
Duration: 18 Months Position The client is a leading global financial services organisation committed to the FCA to undertake a number of corrections to MiFID reports previously submitted. The aim of this project is to complete these corrections in line with the schedule agreed with the FCA. To achieve this there is a need to develop technology to manage this process, source corrected data and resolve issues arising. Successful candidate will be responsible for developing tooling to support back reporting, leveraging an existing Python based tool. This will involve working with a senior Project Manager and a MiFid Business Analyst, who will be responsible for developing and documenting detailed functional requirements from business needs Responsibilities: Python Developer will be focused on developing tooling, which is vital to the performance of the business. You will be working for a Global Financial Services Company, developing tooling to support back reporting, leveraging an existing Python based tool Analysing raw data needed for back reporting through the tool Diagnosing and Triaging issues arising during the back reporting Being a technology focused organisation, and extremely well-funded business, you will be able to make a positive impact from your first day. Qualifications: Strong Python experience Experience designing and building APIs Knowledge of DevOps processes; Ansible/Puppet/Chef Experience building scalable web-based systems Linux experience JavaScript framework experience (Angular, Knockout etc.) Development methodologies e.g. TDD, Agile, and willingness to co-develop appropriate internal processes Experience working with relational databases and SQL A rapid, delivery-focused workflow Financial services experience Strong communication skills Blackthorn Trace, trading name of Huntress Search Ltd, acts as a Recruitment Agency in relation to all Permanent roles and as a Recruitment Business in relation to all Temporary roles.
