If so, We are delighted to announce they are looking for a Scrub Nurse to join their Sate of the Art clinic where they deal with Orthopaedic and Spinal injury patient. They are looking a committed, enthusiastic and passionate nurse to provide the best care for the patients. Our client is based in the hear of London Marylebone where it has great travel links for Bus, Trains and Cars making your commute a whole lot easier. Requirements NMC pin 2 Years post qualification in theatre practoce minimum Evidence of clinical reasoning skills across varied Highly organised with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to prioritise information and workload appropriately Ability to concentrate for long periods of time, reacting quickly in an emergency when required Effective communicator with the ability to build professional relationships. Evidence of continuous professional development Duties You must deliver first class, patient care. You need to contribute to continuous quality improvement. You will develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of yourself and others. Important that you promote evidence based on best practice. You must ensure strict adhesion to legislation, policies and procedures. You need to respect the patient’s dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs. You will have to ensure the safe care of the patient during the perioperative phase of their care. You must assemble, check and prepare the appropriate surgical instruments and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures incorporating various types of surgery. You will coordinate the use of supplies and equipment during the operating list, ensuring the equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner. You need to conduct mandatory patient checks including informed consent, patient identity and operative site prior to the start of procedure. Important that you conduct mandatory surgical checks prior to the start of the procedure, during and pre wound closure. You must monitor the patient’s condition throughout the procedure, taking appropriate action to manage any arising complications through contingency planning. You need to effectively communicate effectively with all other members of multi-disciplinary team involved in the care of the patient.
