Immediate Start Assistant Accountant- 12 Month Fixed Term Contract About Our Client The role is working for a highly successful and well established global manufacturing provider business in Crewe centre who offer a progressive and positive working atmosphere. They are currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant on a full time, fixed term contract basis for up to 12 months. Job Description Develop, implement and maintain one or a combination of general accounting systems. Prepare journal entries Maintain and reconcile the ledger accounts Provide a record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions Perform accounts payable duties on a daily basis Balance the books on adhoc basis Prepare profit and loss, income and balance sheet statements Maintain receipts and disbursement reports Adhoc preparation of federal, state and local reports and tax returns Produce and provide reports and records for Managers The Successful Applicant Ideally working towards an accountancy qualification (AAT or other professional qualification) Experience in volume processing of supplier invoices at least 2 years preferred Attention to detail with good analytical skills Microsoft Excel skills - Pivot and Lookup etc. Experience of working with ERP systems - SAP desirable but not essential Ability to work as part of a small team but must also be a motivated self-starter What's on Offer 39 hours standard working week with an earlier Friday finish 25 Days holiday bank holidays Potential completion bonus Onsite parking For further information on this or any of our please call the Chester team today for a confidential discussion or alternatively forward your CV and cover letter.
