Job Title: Stock Control Manager / Cellar Manager Salary: Up to £36,000 per annum Location: Ascot Racecourse - SL5 7JX Start Date: ASAP Duration: Full Time Permanent Stock Control Manager / Cellar Manager Job Introduction: We are looking to recruit an experienced Cellar Manager to join the Sodexo team at Ascot racecourse. As the Cellar Manager, you will control all Beverage stocks, to deliver budgeted margins and targeted stock holdings. You will manage a team of permanent and casual staff to deliver all liquor operations, maximizing the use of the venue stock control and till systems. You will report to the Beverage Manager and will be responsible for planning, organising and analysing all liquor operations to ensure maximum efficiency, whilst meeting the expectations of both the client and departmental heads. Sodexo provide all hospitality services for Ascot racecourse on both race days and for a growing conference and events business, therefore ensuring effective systems for planning, stock control and allocation are in place is vital to the success of our business. This is a hand’s on, varied role which will involve you to be highly organised with the ability to interact with both our on-site client and customers. The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years’ experience of stock management, logistics and supply chain. Experience of line managing and clear leadership skills are essential. A knowledge of working with liquor and EPOS stock control and till systems would also be preferable. Stock Control Manager / Cellar Manager Role Responsibility: · Plan & organise beverage stock allocation, to ensure that all stock requirements are met and stock is both transported and stored appropriately to preserve the life of the product · Optimise beverage department labour productivity · Timely placement of all beverage orders to meet business demands via the Ascot Stock Control System · Manage the on-site stock take process · Prepare and produce appropriate stock to cash reports · Ensure all draught facilities are ready for operation and all beer lines are cleaned and maintained Line manage the cellar support team to ensure efficient ways of working are applied · Deliver required targets, K.P.I.’s and objectives for all race days and Conference & Events functions · Managing all aspects of Health & Safety and Safe Systems at Work for the Cellar department and ensure that all team members receive the required training for the tasks they are required to carry out, thus creating a zero-harm environment · Support Major Events as required · Manage maintenance of cellars, stock and related equipment The Ideal Stock Control Manager / Cellar Manager: · Two years’ experience of stock or supply chain management · Experience of line managing and clear leadership skills · Experience of stock management systems · Ability to communicate in a proactive and positive manner and build team relationships · Professional presentation and conduct, to be able to interact with customers, clients and peers, alike · Microsoft Office competency, with good knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint Desirable · Forklift License experience · Personal Liquor License preferable or at least, good level of knowledge of licensing law · Wine and Spirit Knowledge Stock Control Manager / Cellar Manager Package Description: Up to £30,000 per annum depending on experience bonus benefits About the Company: In the UK and Ireland, Sodexo employs some 36,000 employees to deliver integrated facilities management services to clients at over 2,000 locations in the energy, corporate, healthcare, education, leisure, defence and justice sectors.
