Production Manager
Overview
Lusona are working with a successful UK manufacturing group, who need to strengthen their production operations team to cope with a very ambitious growth program. Reporting to the senior management team the role will be responsible for the management of a busy single shift production operation, ensuring that the site meets its production targets in a timely and efficient manner, within the budget and quality parameters of each customer requirement. You will be charged with ensuring that the production workforce is working to their full potential and that a suitable succession plan exists for the site. The role itself will be wide and varied, but will include specific tasks such as; · Control over production budgets, CAPEX projects, with P&L responsibility. · Capacity Planning for the operation · Setting and monitoring KPIs · Provide day to day support to Production Supervisors. · Ensuring compliance with all the companies HSE policies. · Drive various Lean and CI initiatives · Work closely with other departments to ensure full production visibility · The selection and implementation of a suitable manufacturing reporting system. It is expected that you shall be an experienced production professional with a background in a busy manufacturing plant (ideally an assembly based business), have extensive man management abilities, coupled with a right first time attitude. Previous experience of Lean & CI initiatives is essential, as are first class communication skills.
