The Opportunity Location(s): Edinburgh Areas Considered: Edinburgh, Livingston, Falkirk Role and Responsibilities: Experience in modelling and drafting using CREO5 Working to deadlines Work as a contributory engineering team member Experience in GDT using BS8888.5 Work with customer lead to understand requirements and incorporate changes to models and drawings as per their standards Map the customer standards and requirements with a view to building a team of engineers supporting modelling and drafting using CREO5 Support and facilitate reviews and sign off release of mechanical drawings in accordance with business and industry standards. Champion improvements in product manufacturability through effective relationship building and design guidance. The Candidate Essentials: A good bachelor's degree or HND with relevant experience Expert in CREO5 or another software, preferably CREO5 for modelling, drafting, preparing for analysis Modelling and drafting, process compliance, Drawing change management Ability to develop work instructions and checklists for team and guiding one to two engineers Mechanical engineering detailed design - first-hand experience of engineering design, numerical calculations, tolerance studies, etc. Delegation - ability to effectively delegate tasks to appropriate engineers and provide required level of support. Customer orientation - demonstrate ability of fulfilling customer requirements (internal and/or external). Business awareness - understanding of fundamental business principles, drivers and key customers. Self -motivated and willing to take on new challenges. Good communications skills (written & oral) are essential. The ability to develop good working relationships with stakeholders.
