Overview
Software Engineer (C#, SQL, Angular) Hedge Fund Global Hedge Fund in Central London is looking to hire an experienced Full Stack C# Software Engineer on a permanent basis (.NET Core, Angular8, SQL Server, AWS). A chance to break into the financial sector & learn inside out how a hedge fund works. From day 1 you'll be in a small team reporting to the CTO and facing off to the business. You'll be involved in a wide range of business-critical projects; from automating FIX Messaging connections, implementing language translation functions into global communication. You'll get exposure to the whole hedge fund, watch your solutions being used and the impact they are making You will be actively encouraged to research new ways to make improvements & create solutions to increase efficiency & usability of a large suite of globally used real-time, high performance applications If you have a real problem-solving attitude and love to solve business problems with technology - this is for you What you need to have… Strong C# to a foundation level (OOP, SOLID, multithreading, memory management, LINQ) on .NET or ideally .NET Core; that's what you'll be using Design and development of SPA's in Angular 2 (Angular8 is what you'll be using) SQL Server (complex queries & stored procedures) BSc / MSc in Computer Science or similar field Desirables… Experience setting up or deploying to AWS Cloud (Azure / GCP could also be useful) - they are moving to AWS in 2020/ 2021 - so you can learn this Messaging / Middleware: REST, WebAPI, Web Sockets, RabbitMQ, TIBCO, MSMQ, Kafka etc. Docker / Kubernetes CI / CD DevOps skills in a general sense Experience working on financial, high performance systems Financial business knowledge (investments, trading lifecycle, commodities, FX etc.) This role would be ideal for a technologist with a strong interest in breaking into financial services This is a permanent role & is paying between £50k - £70k bonus benefits.
