Overview

My client is a market leading global technology company in its field. It is Based close to Dunstable. They are looking for an Application Packaging Analyst to manage the discovery and packaging and to distribute software to the group. Responsibilities: Manage the Discovery and Packaging and distribute software components to the wider company Software integration and compatibility testing in a Win 10/7 environment. Ensuring that packaged products meet the standards and requirements demanded Customer engagement to manage UAT activities Creation and management of support records using Service Management Tool Report anomalies and escalate issues to the stakeholders. Writing, reviewing and maintaining processes and procedures. Provide guidance and mentoring to other support team members as Subject Matter Expert to support Incident resolution or Problem investigation activities. Work with business and security frameworks (ITIL). Experience: Excellent experience of: Application sequencing App-v Packaging & Troubleshooting - preferably v5, MSI Packaging SCCM Administration (2012 preferable) - Software distribution and OS deployment. Silent installation techniques and troubleshooting Knowledge of different packaging tools/installer engines Administrative experience of Windows (7 and 10) to a level required to perform application installation and configuration Working Knowledge of Scripting - VBS, Batch, Powershell etc Software integration with office 2010, 2016 compatibility testing in a Win 7/Win 10 environment. Understanding of Operating System build and delivery mechanisms. Strong communication, troubleshooting and analytical skills Strong customer service skills, focused upon meeting customer needs Complex service delivery experience, preferably in a Multi-Vendor environment Personal Qualities Must have experience of working within an IT operational environment 5 years Must have a good understanding of high-level IT Infrastructure 5 years Experience or knowledge of working with outsource providers and 3rd parties would be beneficial.
