Product Design Engineer

A market leading manufacturer of consumer products are looking for a Design engineer to join their innovative product development team. As Design Engineer you will be responsible for: Developing new and existing products. Full life cycle design activity including concept creation, prototyping and DFM. Completing all manufacturing specifications and producing BOM's. Ensuring all designs are delivered to regulatory standards and meet the required safety and performance levels. Focusing on product functionality and reliability. To be successful as a Design Engineer you will have: Proven experience as a Design Engineer, Product Designer, Development Engineer or Mechanical Engineer. A degree (PhD, MSc, MA, MEng, BA, BEng or BSc) in either Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering. Knowledge of various manufacturing techniques and materials such as brass, aluminium and plastics. Experience in tolerancing/GD & T. Strong 3D CAD skills (Solidworks, Solid Works, Solid-works). Experience compiling technical reports. In return you will receive an excellent benefits inclusive of: £32,000 - £37,000 basic salary. 25 days holiday, plus statutory bank holidays.
