You will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness of Rhodes Wood Hospital, meeting cleaning standards and following cleaning schedules that are set by the Operations Manager. Working alongside the housekeeping team where you will be supporting service users with cleaning duties, ensuring their clothes are cleaned and pressed, wardrobes and draws are cleaned and their rooms are tidy. Job Role - Bank Housekeeper (Flexible Working) Location - Hatfield, Hertfordshire Salary - £9.30 PLUS 12.07% uplift per hour Hours - Flexible Working Your responsibilities: To ensure all areas are deep cleaned weekly, following a set cleaning schedule. Ensure all linen cupboards and storerooms are kept in a clean and tidy manner. Ensure all laundry is processed regularly according to the Laundry policy and procedure. Report all maintenance requirements to the Unit Manager or Nurse in Charge. To relate to residents, relatives, and carers with empathy. To attend mandatory training courses relevant to the position in the direction of the Facilities Manager. To be successful in this role, you'll need: Be able to identify and proactively resolve problems Be able to receive supervision from a qualified psychologist and be able to use the space to reflect and develop skills and experience, to maintain a record of supervision To meet professional practice expectations and the BPS code of ethics To observe agreed operational policies To manage personal and professional boundaries and conduct themselves in a courteous manner Where you will be working Location : Rhodes Wood Hospital. Shepherds Way, Hatfield AL9 6NN Join the team at Rhodes Wood Hospital providing care for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders or with learning disabilities who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person. You will support a warm and nurturing environment, allowing for the understanding of symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress, and will actively encourage children to personalise bedroom spaces to make these feel like a home from home. There is also an on-site Ofsted Registered school to support young people continue with their education while in hospital. Rhodes Wood Hospital is located on the outskirts of Hatfield, which is easily reachable by car.
