Accounts Senior vacancy based in Maidstone for at a highly reputable Top 20 Chartered Accountancy practice. A very exciting opportunity to work very closely with the Managers and Partners of the firm on a daily basis and to get excellent client exposure. Client Details The firm of Top 20 Chartered Accountants, based in Maidstone is a well regarded practice that specialises in Audit, Tax and Private Client Services to a wide array of clients across Kent and the South East. Dealing with small, medium and large sized companies, there is excellent career prospects on offer for individuals looking to progress and move their careers forwards. Description Preparation of statutory accounts and review of disclosures predominantly under FRS102 1a. Preparation of management reporting for clients and helping identify opportunities with key personnel. Preparation of audit deliverables and liaising with auditors as necessary. Bookkeeping duties using a variety of accounting software e.g. Sage, Xero, Exact. VAT Return preparation, review and submission. Meeting clients face-to-face and developing a good rapport acting in a professional manner. Managing own client portfolio ensuring client needs are met. Assisting junior members of staff and mentoring where appropriate. Take part in Practice Development and start to develop own contacts to network with. Manage time costs that are being charged to clients and reviewing jobs where the budget has been exceeded. Take responsibility for your work and multi task in an organised manner. Meeting clients face to face and developing a good rapport. Discuss cross selling opportunities with the client Manager/Partner. Basic preparation of Corporation Tax computations. Understand client's internal controls and where weaknesses are identified, suggest improvements. Understanding a wide range of industries and looking to add value as much as possible. Profile You will be qualified ACA or ACCA with a background as an Accounts Semi Senior or Senior. You will have either specialised in Accounts or audit and accounts throughout your career to date within a medium to large firm environment or have a mixed general accountancy practice background across accounts within a small, medium or large independent firm background. You will be looking to join a firm of chartered accountants and build and develop upon your accountancy practice career to date, in a firm and role offering real progression potential. Job Offer Salary ranging between £35,000 - £45,000 dependant on experience and a flexible benefits package.
