Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Overview
Senior Electrical Design Engineer Location: Midsomer Norton. Salary: Competitive. Duration: Permanent. Benefits: Health & life assurance, company pension, etc. Our client, a nationwide leader in the water & waste industry urgently require a suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in Midsomer Norton. The role offers the opportunity to work with a broad range of commercial and industrial clients in the water treatment, quarrying, nuclear and waste recycling sectors. The Role Gather client requirements and create & produce specs for projects. Work alongside the Project Manager & Design Manager to ensure the designs meet client requirements, deadlines and are compliant with regulations. Ensure cost effective design integrity through technical design calculations, material research and awareness of modern production techniques. To produce all necessary production and assembly drawings using 2D and 3D design systems/software. Undertake site and client visits when required. Accurately communicate with other stakeholders throughout each stage of the project, including the customer. Work with, Support & Train new staff/apprentices to enable them to be an effective team member. Check and approve drawings. Highlight design & quote differences, capture cost differences. Using design logs and request EWNs and CEs where necessary. Look for potential cost savings / efficiencies whilst being compliant. Raise awareness of any new process, tools or trends that may benefit the client or customer. Ensure RFI requests are kept up to date. Essential Requirements Electrical Design experience is essential. Management experience in a similar environment. Understanding of Water Treatment. In depth experience using different 2D and 3D software. Attention to detail.
