Software Development Manager, £ 70000 - 90000 good benefits. Slough, Berkshire. Software technology company based in Slough, Berkshire is looking for a Software Development Manager who will be responsible for the management of multiple development teams servicing complex customers in fast paced environments. With a team of 40 developers your focus will be on task/ resource management and people management. This role carries significant people management responsibility, including the assessment of individual performance and the development of learning needs. Effective scheduling is also key and you must have proven experience of scheduling resources against task priorities. You will be used to working with external teams and across the business to deliver projects against customer release plans. Duties and responsibilities include - Reporting - monthly and weekly reporting internally and externally. Task management and prioritisation. Resource planning to ensure timely project delivery. Maintaining and improving working practices and tools. Essential skills required - Proven people and technology leadership (must have managed a team of atleast 15 software developers). Previous and significant experience in a Software Development Management role. Experience of managing a team of Oracle, C or .net Developers. Strong analytical and planning skills with regards to resource management. Experience working in a large and complex customer facing technical environment. This is an excellent chance to play a lead role in a well expected technology company. Having previously worked as a Software Development Manager you will have managed a team of atleast 15 developers and will have strong resource planning skills.
