Software Development Manager, .net environment, DevOps, c £ 85000 - 90000 car bonus. Eastleigh, Southampton. Product based technology company based in Eastleigh are looking for a Software Development Manager to join their team. Responsible for a large team of software developers (mainly .net) you will be focused on building robust and innovative software solutions for external clients. You will develop a strategy for the team to deliver software and improve the processes and quality of service. As a software evangelist you will have the ability to identify areas of improvement and will drive change where required. Although this is not a hands-on, you must have started life as a developer and will still enjoy code reviews, mentoring and improving staff, keeping up to date with new and relevant technologies and more. Responsibilities include - Lead and manage a team of software developers. Oversee strategy for product and bespoke development. Review and improve processes where necessary. Coach and mentor the development team. Ensure the business is aware of the most up to date and relevant technologies. To be considered you will have - Previously worked a Software Development Manager. A good knowledge of the MS stack, having previously been a MS/ .net Developer Good knowledge of DevOps and Azure. Strong Digital experience. Experience of working in a product company and delivering software to external clients. The ability to drive change and challenge developers. Knowledge of POS and the retail sector would be a distinct advantage. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Software Development Manager to come in and make a real difference.
