Overview

NSC Global are looking to hire a Security Cleared Test Manager who will be responsible for test strategy, planning, designing, building, managing, executing, analysing and reporting on tests. Responsibilities to include: Determines testing strategy and owns the supporting processes. Takes responsibility for the management and coordination of all testing activities within a project, program or service, including test plans, resources, costs, timescales, test deliverables and traceability. Provides test assurance and governance for test engagements. Manages client relationships with respect to testing matters. Is sensitive to the client's needs and priorities when finding solutions to any issues which arise. Ensures that appropriate methods and tools for the planning, development, testing, operation, management and maintenance of systems are adopted and used effectively throughout the project. Provides authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution. Plans and manages the evaluation of test processes. Identifies, proposes, and initiates test process improvement activities within the organization, devising solutions. Takes action to exploit opportunities that will have a measurable effect on operational effectiveness, with associated benefits to the business. Manages the review of test results and their modification as necessary. Compile and present reports on systems quality and metrics. Organizes and delivers work in front-office and back-office environments. Is the ultimate responsible of the risk and issue management, ensuring all risks and issues are documented with the corresponding mitigations and corrective actions. Support the development of the test capabilities and competencies in the test services practice. Takes responsibility on the effort estimation. Supports pre-sales, bid and prospects. Takes responsibility on the demand management. Takes responsibility on the knowledge management. Ensure tests and results are documented, reported to stakeholders and are available for specification of user instructions. Act as a mentor to one or more resources, providing support and guidance by removing barriers to learning in order to promote effective participation, enhance individual learning, raise aspirations and achieve the mentee potential. Takes responsibility on change management in terms of scope. Uses quality standards to review past performance and plan future activities. Monitors and reports on the outputs from the quality assurance and audit processes. Oversee test activities and advise on best practice and ensure lessons learnt are captured and fed back into the practice for continuous process improvement. Takes responsibility on being persistent in the achievement of assigned goals in front of his/her team, maintaining focus during stressful periods or when deadlines are short and acts as a role model. Takes responsibility on the test data management. Takes responsibility on the test environment management. Takes responsibility, with the guidance of his/her manager, to successfully follow the recommended courses and certifications. Most experienced assume consultancy and/or deeper management responsibilities: Architect test solutions and provide support using his/her consultancy capacity. Provides consultancy to the customers in testing related issues. Ensures case studies are captured for all test engagements which have been under his/her direct control. Takes responsibility for the workforce planning strategy ensuring that there are adequate skilled resources to meet planned project or service delivery. Ensures integration with strategic human resource plans. Takes responsibility for the recruitment, re-skilling and demand forecasts for test practitioners, advising on the approach and relevant policies. Ensures that expert support is provided as and when required, including interviewing of applicants for senior posts.
