Financial Accounting Manager - £50k-£60k - Bedfordshire A business in Bedfordshire is looking to bolster their Financial Accounting & Reporting function and build a "best in class" team which can provide business critical reporting and control during a period of year-on-year growth. Working closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director, you will play a key role in helping the business achieve lofty growth and profit targets over the next 3 years. Working very closely with management accounting and MI teams, your team will provide the essential and up to date financial information required across the business to inform decision making. The business has a national presence and a great brand name in the market. Following solid performance over the past few years there is a real appetite for improvement in the bottom line number and to take advantage of the strong position in the market. Big on progression and personal development, you will likely be someone who wants to find a business where you can see upwards movement and rotation in the next 3-5 years. Whether that be into Financial Control roles, FP&A, Business Intelligence or Finance Business Partnering. Key Responsibilities - Financial Accounting Manager Ownership and preparation of balance sheet, cash flow, budgets, forecasts etc. Management of the relationship with internal and external audit functions and support through year end. Deliver monthly commentary on financial performance to senior management teams Work very closely with external functions such as treasury, banks, third party providers etc. Make sure sound financial controls are in place and compliant on areas such as corporate tax and VAT. Manage the financial reporting team Continuously look to improve financial control and reporting processes Submission of statutory accounts for several business units. You will be ACA/ACCA qualified with north of 2-3 years PQE. A background in public practice in Audit working on broad assignments with medium to large sized businesses would be ideal, with an in-depth understanding of how a good balance sheet should look and what a solid financial control framework looks like. Keen eye for detail and a natural tendency to question things that don't look right until you find an answer you like.
